Two sweeping wings trace a familiar butterfly shape.

A circling ribbon folds back through a spiral.

Rounded paths weave through three repeating directions.

Layered curves build a shell around an open center.

Three curved lobes connect in a flowing loop.

Two scrolls gather around neighboring centers.

Winding paths cross and curl into a pair of wings.

Loops twist through a complex three-dimensional path.

Explore symmetric four- or six-scroll patterns, with separate choices for the viewer and live wallpaper (Google Play only).
Relax with Chaos simulates chaotic systems as flowing three-dimensional trails. Every path is calculated live on your device — a real-time simulation, never a recorded animation. Pause the simulation, rotate the view, restart it, and watch the shape build again.
Explore nine systems, each with its own character and carefully tuned motion: Butterfly, Spiral, Threefold, Shell, Three-Lobed, Double Scroll, Tangled Wings, Twisted Loop, and V-Shape. Adjust the flow speed to slow things down or watch the system evolve more quickly.
Display one to five trajectories of the same chaotic system. Start them close together and watch their paths gradually diverge. Automatic colors make each trajectory easy to follow as the system evolves.
Choose from curated palettes, custom colors, glow, trail styles and backgrounds. Switch between Light, Dark and OLED themes. Let the scene gently orbit on its own, explore it by touch, or reset the camera whenever you want a fresh perspective.
Go beyond the visuals with Learn About Chaos. Explore all nine systems, their history, origins and equations, or open the Simulation Scope to see live simulation data while the attractor is running.
Capture a scene, share it, or export it as a PNG. Ambient mode offers a quieter, distraction-free view when you simply want to watch the mathematics unfold.
The Google Play edition includes Butterfly for free. A one-time Chaos Collection purchase unlocks the eight additional systems. The Amazon edition is a paid app with all nine systems included and no in-app purchases. Neither edition has ads or subscriptions. Downloads are available on Google Play and Amazon Appstore.
